How to make the Color Matrix in Adobe Illustrator

I n a previous tutorial I showed how to use the illustrator blend tool to create arrays. In this tutorial you are shown in the first five minutes the power, purpose and point of the matrix and in the second half you are shown how to create one yourself in illustrator.

This works really well in CS6. However, in Illustrator CC the blend of 2 expanded arrays does not result in a grid. It’s more like an hourglass shape. Have you found any work arounds for the Creative Cloud?

You mention that “in a previous video” you have shown how to use Illustrator tools to create the matrix. Where can I find that video so I can practice creating the matrix?

AND @Tina in CC have you tried changing the order of how you create the corners. If you create the corners in an order clockwise, it will create an hourglass. What happens if you make it in order as a zig zag.
