Picasso painting in light

What’s the most amazing thing about this photograph? I had no idea Picasso had done something like this in the 1940’s. That alone is pretty amazing, but what I love noting is how the second line of the vase on each side matches so well to the first. He was tracing in the air and seeing no record of where his “light pen” had ben and yet the curves are eerily similar.
